OzAuthors

OzAuthors is a joint venture between the Australian Society of Authors and IPR Systems. The OzAuthors vision is to provide a safe and secure environment that allows authors and other rights-holders to publish, promote and sell their works easily online.

The OzAuthors site is in a trial phase, at www.ozauthors.com.au . Full functionality will progressively be phased into the site, followed by marketing to the public and potential partners.

The OzAuthors project is designed to be much more than just an online bookstore, or a digital marketplace. Its intention is to facilitate making literary works into web-ready content, and to create a digital meeting place for authors, publishers, readers, students, educators to share ideas and explore the benefits of electronic publishing.

At the heart of OzAuthors is digital rights management software developed by IPR Systems, including Digital Book Xchange . This software enables rights-holders to set the rights and permissions related to their work so that it can be securely traded online.
